The family suggested that we take a trip somewhere warm like the Caribbean but as I gazed at the empty oxygen tanks in the corner of the living room; I realized that a Summer in the Islands was a bad idea. Instead what was needed was clean air and cool breezes so I thought, Alaska.
Roughing it was out of the question so for the first time in a long time we broke the budget and took a cruise. Despite the strain of the voyage, it was the worth the trip. The air was clear, the wildlife was real and the smiles on our faces were a welcome change.
